I’M 75, AND MY GRANDDAUGHTER GOT A FACE TATTOO. SHOULD I SAY SOMETHING?
I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw my 22-year-old granddaughter walk in with a tattoo on her face. A face tattoo! I don’t understand it. I’ve always believed tattoos were one thing, but the face? That just feels like crossing a line.
She’s such a beautiful young woman, and now she’s permanently marked herself in a way that I’m afraid will affect her future. I want to say something, but I also don’t want to hurt her feelings or seem old-fashioned. I know the younger generation has different ideas about self-expression, but is it wrong for me to be worried? Should I tell her how I really feel, or is it none of my business? I just can’t shake the feeling that this will only cause her regret down the line.
